Job summary

Marlborough Health & Rehabilitation Center invites you to join our team as an Activities Assistant at 85 Stage Harbor Road, Marlborough, Connecticut. You’ll plan and implement recreational and therapeutic activities to create a positive, lively atmosphere for our aging residents.

In this role you’ll work with the Activities Director to develop a monthly calendar, engage residents in arts, crafts, games, and music, and provide one-on-one support as needed. Compassion and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Long-Term Care or senior living setting is preferred but not required - training will be provided
• Compassionate and empathetic nature
• Interest in the therapeutic needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities
