We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at Alpine Healthcare Center. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities, social events, and programs to promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This is a part-time, weekend position.
Plan, organize, and implement activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, and social events for our residents
Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement activity programs that meet the interests and needs of our residents
Assist with resident assessments to identify their interests and abilities, and use this information to tailor activities to meet their needs
Lead and participate in activities with residents, including one-on-one and group activities
Maintain accurate records and reports of activities, including resident participation and feedback
Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and engaging environment
Support and assist with orientation and training of new staff members
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation, or related field preferred
Ability to work weekends, including Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
