Job summary

Alpine Healthcare Center in Keene, NH is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant for weekend shifts (Friday to Sunday). The role focuses on planning engaging activities to improve residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include leading activities, tailoring programs to interests, coordinating with the Activities Director, and helping train new staff while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement activities for residents (arts/crafts, games, exercise, social events).
• Collaborate with Activities Director to tailor programs to resident interests and needs.
• Assist with resident assessments to identify interests and abilities for activity tailoring.
• Lead and participate in activities both one-on-one and in groups with residents.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and participation and collect feedback.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure engagement.
• Support orientation and training of new staff members.
