Job summary

Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield, MA is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan, organize, and direct the recreation program for residents, ensuring activities support their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

The role features a 4pm-8pm shift with rotating weekends, 16 hours per week, and pay at $18 per hour. We offer weekly pay and a full suite of benefits. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and run events and activities programming.
• Build relationships with residents to tailor programming to their interests.
• Organize group and individual programming.
• Generate ideas for engaging activities.
• Encourage participation in activities that stimulate residents.
• Assist with establishing resident care goals with the therapeutic team.
• Document and report significant findings.
• Report all reportable events immediately.

Join our creative and passionate recreation team at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield!

As an Activities Assistant, you will assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the recreation department to ensure that an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident is maintained.

4p-8p shift with rotating weekends. Weekly pay is $18 an hour. Berkshire Rehab is an all-male skilled nursing facility with a large veteran population. 16 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and run events and activities programming
• Build relationships with residents to tailor programming to their interests and desires
• Organize group and individual programming
• Generate ideas for exciting and engaging activities
• Encourage residents to participate in activities that stimulate their potential
• Assist with establishing resident care goals within the framework of the therapeutic team
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings
• Report all reportable events immediately

Requirements:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent
