Job summary

The Arbor Company is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant (Part-Time) to engage residents in activities, accompany them on outings, and provide transportation to appointments and events. This role is ideal for retirees or semi-retired professionals seeking a rewarding daytime schedule without evenings or weekends.

You’ll work Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM (approximately 20 hours per week), with occasional flexibility for resident needs.

Qualifications

• Friendly, dependable and patient demeanor.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience or comfort working with older adults is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident activities, events, games, and social programs.
• Safely transport residents to appointments, shopping trips, outings, and community events.
• Help residents safely enter and exit the community vehicle.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and encourage participation.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up activities.
• Complete daily vehicle safety inspections and transportation logs.
• Help residents with walkers, packages, and personal belongings as needed.
• Bring positive energy and compassion to every interaction.
