Job summary

Good Samaritan Health Care Center is seeking an activities assistant to provide and supervise enrichment opportunities for patients/residents. This role supports the care team, helps residents reach their highest potential, and requires coordinating group and individual activities in alignment with the monthly schedule.

The position is part-time and pays hourly rates. Candidates should be able to document records, participate in care conferences, and possess a valid driver’s license with access

Pay Rate: Hourly Pay Rate Max: 21 Pay Rate Min: 18 Status: Part Time

Sunday - Tuesday, approximately 5 hours per day

As activities assistant, you provide and supervise enrichment opportunities to meet the physical, social, cultural, spiritual, emotional, and recreational needs of each patient/resident. You assist the care team and residents' families helping residents reach their highest potential.

You will:

• Provide resident activities on a group and individual basis
• Promote and follow the monthly schedule of activities
• Document medical records regarding residents' attitude, participation level, etc., and attend care conferences
• Report to the activities director

You currently:

• Work independently
• Relate positively and effectively with others
• Advocate for the senior population
• possess a valid driver's license and private vehicle
