Job summary

Heritage Hall Healthcare & Rehab Center in Blackstone, VA seeks an Activities Assistant to enhance resident well-being through engaging programs.

Develop, implement and encourage resident activities, coordinate with care staff, and adapt plans to individual needs. This full-time role requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and a valid VA driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in directing individual and group activities.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred.
• A valid VA driver’s license.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and lead individual and group activities for residents.
• Foster a caring, engaging environment that supports resident well-being.
• Coordinate activities with nursing and other staff to meet resident needs.
