Job summary

Lake Way Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Benton, KY is seeking an Activities Assistant to bring engaging, resident-centered recreation to daily life. You will help plan and run activities, support well-being, and promote social interaction among residents.

This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and flexibility. Previous long-term care experience is welcomed but not required, and on-the-job training is provided to help you grow in a supportive, family-like environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Pleasant, outgoing and compassionate.
• Flexible, able to multitask and reliable.
• Team player; able to work independently when needed.
• Experience in long-term care is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and conducting activities with residents.
• Promote resident well-being by planning recreation-based activities that stimulate mind and body.
• Provide input into design and development of monthly recreation programs.
• Document resident attendance and participation and write progress notes.
• Attend care plan meetings to coordinate activities with residents' needs.
