Job summary

Brethren Care Village’s Bradford House is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to plan, organize, and direct activity programs under supervision of the Life Enrichment Coordinator. The role focuses on recreational programs to enhance coordination, mental stimulation, and socialization for residents.

The position is part-time with evening shifts (4pm-8pm) and every other weekend; on-site duties include transporting residents and documenting participation, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• 16+ years of age or older.
• Current First Aid Training or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to pass activity certification program.
• Onsite presence required.

Responsibilities

• Implement planned activities as outlined on calendar of events.
• Transport residents to and from activities.
• Provide one on one activities with residents when time allows.
• Maintain documentation of resident's participation in activities.
• Organize activity in event of a cancelled event.
• Refer residents/families to the Director of Housing if unresolved concerns.
• Develop and maintain good rapport with other departments for team effort.
• Assist residents by visiting, writing letters, running errands, and providing music as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $12 - $13.80/hr (Based on experience)

The Life Enrichment Activities Assistant supports our mission and values by planning, organizing, and directing activity programs under the guidance and supervision of the Life Enrichment Coordinator. Provides recreational programs to increase muscular coordination, promote positive mental stimulation and socialization.

What You'll Do as a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant:

• Implement planned activities as outlined on calendar of events.
• Transport residents to and from planned activities in and outside the facility.
• Provide one on one activities with residents unable to attend group activities, when time allows.
• Maintain documentation of resident's participation in activities.
• Organize activity in event of a cancelled event.
• Refers residents/families to the Director of Housing if unable to resolve any resident/family concern.
• Develops and maintains a good rapport with other departments to ensure that a team effort is achieved.
• Assists residents by visiting, writing letters, running errands, communicating with others, providing music, etc. as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant:

• At least 16 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Current and Valid First Aid Training (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• The ability to pass activity certification program (with training upon hire).
• Onsite presence required.
