Job summary
The Ohio Veterans Home Georgetown is seeking an Activities Aide for part-time evenings to support activity therapy, resident socialization and engagement. You will assist higher-level therapists, monitor participation and help transport residents to activities.
Starting pay is $20.78/hour with opportunities for pay increases, overtime, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and retirement through OPERS. Employment is with the State of Ohio.
Qualifications
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

The Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown offers 168 beds for nursing home care. Two levels of care are offered: standard care for veterans in need of any intermediate level of care, and memory care for veterans with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia.
