Job summary

Sprenger Health Care is seeking a recreation activities coordinator to lead group programs and support residents in daily activities. The role includes transporting residents to activities, planning engaging programs, and promoting facility initiatives to residents, staff, families and volunteers.

Qualifications include a High School diploma and 2+ years in a patient activities program or a related college degree with a valid driver’s license. Health and other benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2+ years of experience in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
• Or pursuing a degree in Recreation, Gerontology, Nursing Home Administration, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Occupational Therapy Assistant with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group programs as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from activities.
• Assist with planning and leadership of recreation programs.
• Promote facility programs to residents, staff, family and volunteers.
