Job summary

Rose View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Activities Aide to join our team and enrich residents' lives daily. You will assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and leading engaging programs that promote physical activity, mental stimulation, and social connection in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in activities, recreation, or working with seniors preferred.
• Friendly, patient, and outgoing personality with a passion for older adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, flexible attitude.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and scheduling.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist with resident transport.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
• Lead games, crafts, music programs, outings, and exercise sessions.
• Set up and clean activity areas before and after programs.
• Transport and escort residents to activities safely.
• Encourage participation and provide one-on-one engagement.
• Document resident participation and responses to activities.
• Maintain activity supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other staff.
• Create a positive, joyful atmosphere to enhance quality of life.
