About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and engaging Activities Aid to join our team of dedicated caregivers. In this role, you will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational programs and activities designed to promote our patients' physical, emotional, and social well-being. Your skills and creativity will help bring joy and fulfillment to our patients' lives, making a real difference in their experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing a variety of activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of our patients and residents
  • Facilitate socialization and interaction among patients and residents, including group activities, one-on-one interactions, and special events
  • Monitor patients' and residents' engagement and participation, reporting any changes or concerns to the Activities Director
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for activities, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good condition
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Nursing and Therapy, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care and rehabilitation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., Recreation Therapy, Occupational Therapy) preferred
  • 0 years of experience in a healthcare or recreational setting; prior experience in activities, social services, or related fields a plus
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, prioritizing patient care and comfort
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse personalities and needs
