About The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and engaging Activities Aid to join our team of dedicated caregivers. Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing a variety of activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings, tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of our patients and residents
• Facilitate socialization and interaction among patients and residents, including group activities, one-on-one interactions, and special events
• Monitor patients' and residents' engagement and participation, reporting any changes or concerns to the Activities Director
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for activities, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good condition
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Nursing and Therapy, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care and rehabilitation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., Recreation Therapy, Occupational Therapy) preferred
• 0 years of experience in a healthcare or recreational setting; prior experience in activities, social services, or related fields a plus
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, prioritizing patient care and comfort
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse personalities and needs
