Job summary

Road Commission for Oakland County in Michigan seeks a contract recruiter to develop proactive sourcing strategies, identify top professionals, and conduct phone screens through onboarding. This 6-month position is paid through an external agency and requires onsite presence.

You will collaborate with the talent acquisition specialist, and candidates may not be actively seeking new roles. A Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and strong MS Office skills are expected; union/civil engineer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Human Resources Development, Human Resource Administration, Education or related field.
• Possess strong planning, organizational and written/verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in hiring union employees or engineers (civil) a plus.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state of Michigan driver’s license.

• Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
• Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
