Operations Specialist I
Role Summary
The Data Governance & Stewardship (DG&S) Operations Specialist I supports customer data management initiatives for pharmaceutical clients. This role focuses on assessing, validating, and improving the quality of customer and healthcare data using established tools, systems, and processes. The specialist collaborates closely with clients and internal stakeholders on Data Stewardship and Data Governance activities, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting defined service level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
- Support client customer data management processes related to physicians, healthcare organizations, and associated entities
- Assess, review, validate, and enhance the quality of pharmaceutical and medical customer data
- Utilize approved data sources, tools, and systems (MDM, CRM, and spreadsheets) to verify and manage data
- Collaborate with client stakeholders on Data Stewardship and Data Governance initiatives
- Develop, document, and maintain business processes and standard operating procedures related to data management
- Identify data quality issues, trends, and discrepancies, and provide ongoing feedback to management and client partners
- Escalate data issues requiring special attention in a timely and professional manner
- Collect, track, and support reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and SLA metrics on a predefined schedule
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with data governance standards
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate degree completed or in progress
- Experience working with medical or healthcare data (required)
- Exposure to pharmaceutical data and related datasets (preferred)
- Basic understanding of relational databases and data management platforms (MDM, CRM preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry, research, and analytical skills
- Experience with KPI tracking and data analysis (preferred)
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow established procedures, work independently, and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Copilot (Microsoft Access a plus)
