Job summary

Cygnet is seeking an Acting Team Leader that will split duties between leadership and direct support at Longfield House in Clayton, Bradford. The role runs full-time with 12-hour day shifts, including alternate weekends on a two-week rota, providing oversight of medication, staff coordination, and hands-on care.

Successful candidates will balance management responsibilities with patient-centered care, ensuring safety, independence, and high-quality outcomes for adults with learning disabilities

Qualifications

• Experienced Support Worker ready to step up to a leadership role.
• Confident, assertive and ambitious for self, service users and the organisation.
• Excellent communication and good team-working skills.
• Organised, committed and keen to develop management and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Providing oversight, administration, and management of medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinating and allocating duties to ensure the service operates efficiently and effectively.
• Leading, motivating, and supporting the staff team while championing best practice and a person-centred approach.
• Assisting management and colleagues with the daily running of the service.
• Monitoring and overseeing support delivery to ensure individuals receive care that reflects their needs, preferences, and aspirations.
• Promoting a positive, safe, and supportive environment for both service users and staff.
