Job summary

County of Riverside is seeking a Temporary Assessor-Clerk-Recorder Technician Trainee for the Riverside office. The role provides learning opportunities in clerical and technical duties within the ACR function, including record handling, marriage ceremonies, notary processing, and tax/assessment support.

Under close supervision, you will gain training in examining records, archiving, and public inquiries while supporting professional appraisal staff and filing legal notices.

Qualifications

• One year of clerical experience in a field related to the major functions of the ACR.
• Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve, research, prepare, and provide certified copies of legal documents and records under supervision.
• Assist with Marriage Licenses and civil marriage ceremonies.
• Review and process filings such as FBN Statements and Notary certifications.
• Research and update property assessment records and tax roll changes.
• Perform clerical tasks: sorting, filing, data entry, and record management.
• Answer public inquiries by phone, in person, and in writing.
