Department of the Air Force Headquarters seeks an AcquisitOn Program Management Specialist to lead system acquisition for the Integrated Broadcast Service program. The role involves directing and coordinating contractual, technical, and financial aspects across acquisition phases.
The incumbent will interface with executives and external partners, ensuring program objectives are met and staff studies are presented for decision-makers. Telework is eligible.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as system acquisition manager (SAM) to direct, control, monitor, and integrate all activities involved in the research, development, engineering, and acquisition within the Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) program.
Develops, implements, and controls contractual, financial, and technical aspects of a project/program through designated phases of the acquisition cycle for which no closely related precedents exist. Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates activities of functional specialists including contracting, engineering, manufacturing, program control, configuration/data management, test, and logistics. Reviews and directs the progress of contractors in meeting program objectives.
Represents the organization at executive levels within the Government and to contractor/industry representatives. Prepares, presents, defends, and interprets staff studies to the Program Director and/or other management officials.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
