Job summary

Air Force Materiel Command, Department of the Air Force, seeks a Supervisory Acquisitive Program Manager under Direct Hire Authority to lead the Strategic Services Directorate and oversee DoD-funded acquisition activities. Responsibilities include directing personnel, delivering program status briefings to senior officers, coordinating with contracting, and representing the program in higher echelons.

Leads, manages, directs, or is responsible for activities either directly, or in support of, DoD funded acquisition efforts. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
Delivers presentations on program status, accomplishments, problems/analysis/solutions, requirements for support, and promotion of program objectives to senior military officers and civilians in other program offices of the command, and with using and supporting commands.
Works in conjunction with the contracting officer to approve terms and conditions set forth in contract negotiations, contracting plans, budgets, and changes to the scope of work to be done by the contractor.

Key Responsibilities

Leads, manages, directs, or is responsible for activities either directly, or in support of, DoD funded acquisition efforts. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.

Delivers presentations on program status, accomplishments, problems/analysis/solutions, requirements for support, and promotion of program objectives to senior military officers and civilians in other program offices of the command, and with using and supporting commands. Represents the program office at higher levels within the organization and contractor organizations.

Works in conjunction with the contracting officer to approve terms and conditions set forth in contract negotiations, contracting plans, budgets, and changes to the scope of work to be done by the contractor.
