Federal Reserve Board's Board Research Library seeks an Acquisitions Librarian to manage data and subscription licenses. You will coordinate procurement through negotiation, legal, and onboarding stages, and advise on license terms for researchers.

Join a four-person team supporting economists and analysts, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, providing budget updates and governance input.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library or information science is required or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in acquisitions, serials, e-resources, or reference librarianship.
• Knowledge of acquiring library electronic resources such as data services, e-journals, and e-books.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with strong communication skills.
• Analytical/problem-solving skills and license interpretation ability.
• Attention to detail in documenting acquisition processes.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio of data and subscription contracts from selection to onboarding.
• Interviews to gather specs for data and subscription licenses.
• Conduct market research for suitable data/subscription sources.
• Coordinate procurement steps across negotiation, legal, billing, and onboarding.
• Answer questions from data managers and researchers about licenses.
• Advise on copyright and data usage terms in licenses.
• Collaborate with Federal Reserve System colleagues and vendors.
• Provide budget updates and usage metrics to library leadership.
• Participate in library projects on governance, information management, and tech.
