FM Talent Source is recruiting on behalf of a client to fill the Acquisitions Librarian role supporting data and subscription contracts for the Federal Reserve Board. The position is part of the Board Research Library's Data & Subscriptions Team and focuses on licensing, procurement workflow, and vendor liaison.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library or information science (ALA-accredited) or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of professional acquisitions or serials experience in libraries.
• Knowledge of acquiring library electronic resources (data services, e-journals, e-books).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in licenses and terms.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate economists' and researchers' data needs to connect them to licensed resources.
• Interview researchers to gather specifications for new licenses.
• Conduct market research to identify data and subscription sources matching specifications.
• Coordinate the license through negotiation, procurement, and onboarding steps.
• Answer questions from data managers and researchers about licenses and terms.
• Advise stakeholders on copyright and data usage restrictions in licenses.
• Collaborate with Federal Reserve System colleagues and vendors.
• Provide budget updates and usage metrics to library leadership.
• Resolve data content or technical issues with stakeholders and vendors.
