ArtHaus Partners is seeking an Acquisitions & Development Intern to support a range of multifamily real estate investment and development activities in Oakland, CA. Qualifications

• Recent college graduate or current upper-level undergraduate pursuing a degree in real estate, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of the real estate development lifecycle, including acquisition, due diligence, entitlements, design, financing, construction, lease-up, and stabilization.
• Prior internship or work experience in real estate, finance, development, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with an interest in developing real estate underwriting and financial modeling capabilities a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deal sourcing: identify potential off-market land and multifamily acquisition opportunities through CoStar, public records, broker/owner research, cold calling, and outreach.
• Research and explore potential sites for development of both for-sale and affordable strategies.
• Market research: analyze submarkets to identify attractive markets and development opportunities for affordable and market-rate multifamily projects.
• Assist with underwriting, market research, zoning analysis, design review, and cost analysis to evaluate feasibility of acquisitions and ground-up development.
• Conduct rent and sales comparable analyses and other market surveys to assess rents, pricing, and project feasibility.
• Participate in meetings, prepare minutes and trackers, and assist with communications across the acquisitions team.
• Provide development and construction support, including public notices, plan organization, document management, and project‑specific tasks.
