Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Acquisition Support Specialist professional to provide expert-level acquisition support and program oversight on-site in San Diego, CA. This role involves collaborating with government clients to ensure compliance with acquisition laws, policies, and regulations and delivering high-quality deliverables for Flag Officer or SES-level decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support acquisition execution, portfolio oversight, and PEO implementation guidance.
- Review, analyze, and recommend changes to acquisition statutes, policies, regulations, and guidance at various levels (OSD, ASN (RD&A), PEO, NAVWAR, Congress).
- Research and provide responses to acquisition-related policy and procedural inquiries.
- Prepare and review key acquisition documents, including Acquisition Strategies, Decision Memoranda, Program Baselines, and Plans, ensuring alignment with the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF).
- Facilitate data transparency efforts, supporting the development of metrics and visualizations for assessing program health and risks.
- Review and provide recommendations on periodic reports such as RDAIS, DAES, and Modernized Selected Acquisition Reports.
- Respond to acquisition-related data calls and maintain an updated portfolio overview of PEO programs and projects.
- Coordinate and consolidate executive summary inputs for decision reviews and other critical meetings.
- Document, summarize, and track action items from acquisition-related meetings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Develop and maintain acquisition templates and examples in collaboration with NAVWAR 6.0's Acquisition Program Structure Guide.
