Job summary

Cleared2Hire | The GovTech Talent Platform is seeking a Systems Security Engineer to advance acquisition cybersecurity and program protection across the U.S. Coast Guard lifecycle.

The role collaborates with acquisition managers, systems engineers, and cybersecurity teams to strengthen CPI protection and ensure policy conformance. You will review PPPs, ACSPs, and RARs, advise on policy, and help integrate cybersecurity requirements throughout the SELC, driving risk-informed decisions for

Qualifications

• 8+ years of federal acquisition program experience, or 6+ years with a Master's degree.
• Hands-on experience with PPP and ACSP.
• Experience in cybersecurity risk management and systems security engineering.
• Knowledge of CPI and Criticality Analysis.
• Experience developing or reviewing federal acquisition security documentation.
• Ability to meet Public Trust suitability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review Program Protection Plans (PPPs), Acquisition Cybersecurity Strategies (ACSPs), Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), and related documentation.
• Advise USCG acquisition personnel on cybersecurity and program protection policies.
• Support Critical Program Information (CPI) and Criticality Analysis activities.
• Develop and update acquisition cybersecurity policies, guidance, and templates.
• Integrate cybersecurity requirements throughout the Systems Engineering Life Cycle.
• Coordinate with program managers and technical teams to identify and address program protection gaps.
• Prepare findings, recommendations, and briefings for senior government stakeholders.
