Job summary

Southtowne Hyundai of Newnan is seeking a Vehicle Acquisition Manager to grow our pre-owned inventory by identifying, evaluating, and assisting management with purchasing quality vehicles directly from customers. You will build your own pipeline, work with the Used Car Manager and Internet/BDC teams, and maintain records in the CRM.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and an excellent communicator who can meet monthly acquisition goals and thrive in a fast-paced dealership

Qualifications

• Experience in used-vehicle sales is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills are required.
• Ability to build and manage a vehicle acquisition pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify opportunities to acquire quality pre-owned vehicles for dealership inventory.
• Work with service and sales teams to identify buy opportunities and optimize turns.
• Contact customers to purchase or trade vehicles and respond to online leads promptly.
• Appraise vehicles, present offers, and negotiate purchases to meet profitability goals.
• Maintain records of contacts, appraisals, offers, and acquisitions in the CRM.

# ACQUISITION MANGER## DescriptionSouthtowne Hyundai of Newnan is seeking a Vehicle Acquisition Manager to join our sales team. This position plays a key role in growing our pre-owned inventory by identifying, evaluating, and assisting our management team with purchasing quality vehicles directly from customers.The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and an excellent communicator who is able to build their own pipeline and go above the status quo to deliver results.**Responsibilities*** Proactively identify opportunities to acquire quality pre-owned vehicles for dealership inventory using dealership software.* Working alongside service team to identify service to sales opportunities.* Contact and follow up with customers who may be interested in selling or trading their vehicles.* Respond to online sell/trade leads in a timely fashion to drive appraisal appointments.* Appraise vehicles and determine competitive purchase values based on market conditions, vehicle condition, history, and dealership inventory needs.* Present purchase offers and negotiate vehicle acquisitions while maintaining dealership profitability goals.* Develop relationships with service customers, previous dealership customers, lease customers, and other potential vehicle sellers.* Work closely with the Used Car Manager, Sales Management, and Internet/BDC teams to identify acquisition opportunities.* Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, appraisals, offers, and completed acquisitions using our CRM software.* Meet or exceed monthly vehicle acquisition goals established by management.* Complete any other duties assigned by management.## Qualifications* Previous automotive sales (specifically used car sales) required.* Strong negotiation and communication skills.* Ability to confidently communicate with customers by phone, text, email, and in person.* Knowledge of used-vehicle values, market conditions, and appraisal/purchasing processes is a plus.* Strong organizational and follow-up skills.* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.* Basic computer and CRM proficiency with ability to learn new programs quickly.* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
