Job summary

Omega Morgan, Inc. seeks an Assistant Controller to lead the integration of acquired entities into the company’s accounting systems and ensure U.S. GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to apply guidance to complex transactions.
• Experience with accrual accounting, lease accounting, fixed assets, cash, AP/AR, and revenue recognition.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain accounting matters clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assess acquired entities’ records, systems and processes; identify GAAP gaps.
• Develop and execute accounting integration plans with leadership.
• Support integration into the parent company’s GL, COA, reporting structure and close calendar.
• Research GAAP guidance, document conclusions and practical recommendations.
• Train acquired-entity staff on Omega Morgan's accounting systems and controls.
• Explain accounting requirements clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Develop repeatable integration procedures and strengthen controls as the company grows.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for key accounts.
• Ensure transactions are recorded in the correct period per GAAP and policy.
• Coordinate with teams to meet close deadlines and improve reporting accuracy.
