Zusammenfassung

Omega Morgan is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee integration of acquired businesses into our accounting systems in Hillsboro, Oregon. Reporting to the Director of Technical Accounting, you will ensure GAAP compliance and drive accrual-based reporting across the organization.

In this role you’ll lead consolidation, journal entries, and close processes, train staff on policies, and develop scalable procedures as our company grows.

Qualifikationen

• At least five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with accrual accounting, leases, fixed assets, cash, payables, receivables, and revenue recognition.
• Hands-on month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to explain complex accounting to non-accountants.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast-growing environment.
• This position requires onsite work at Omega Morgan’s Hillsboro, Oregon office five days per week.

Aufgaben

• Assess acquired entities’ accounting records, systems, and processes; identify gaps relative to U.S. GAAP and Omega Morgan’s policies.
• Develop and execute accounting integration plans in partnership with the Director of Technical Accounting and teams.
• Support the integration into the parent company’s GL, COA, reporting structure, and close calendar.
• Evaluate complex accounting issues, research applicable GAAP guidance, and document conclusions.
• Train and support acquired entity employees on Omega Morgan’s systems, policies, controls, and reporting requirements.
• Explain accounting requirements clearly to stakeholders with varying financial knowledge.
• Develop repeatable integration procedures and strengthen documentation and controls.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure transactions are recorded in the correct period and in accordance with GAAP.
• Investigate reconciling items, resolve discrepancies, and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate with corporate and local teams to meet close deadlines and improve reporting accuracy.
