Acquisition Contracts Specialist

We are currently seeking a position to support an IWS team. The role is hybrid with 1 day per week onsite at the Washington Navy Yard. Residence in the DMV is required as the onsite requirement may fluctuate to meet the client’s needs.

What You’ll Do

Provide comprehensive acquisition support including drafting DoD pre‑award documents for NAVSEA.

Responsibilities

• Draft pre‑award acquisition documents to include Acquisition Plans, Acquisition Strategies, Statements of Work, Justification and Accreditations and full RFP packages.
• Prepare ISTRAP, MSTRAP and PSTRAP documents.
• Act as support to junior team members.
• Attend meetings and provide onsite/in‑person support as required.
• Travel domestically and internationally, provide in‑person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients.

Qualifications

• Active DOD Secret security clearance required.
• 5‑8 years’ experience planning, documenting and executing DoD milestone decisions.
• Demonstrated experience drafting pre‑award documents including those mentioned above.
• Familiarity with DoD 5000 and multiple acquisition pathways.
• Prior US Navy acquisition and contracts experience.
• Ability and interest in mentoring team members.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients.

Salary ranges displayed are typical for this position, but MBC considers multiple factors when extending an offer. Factors include the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's qualifications, and the contractual terms of the program.
