Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Certified Educator to lead and develop Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs, providing direct spiritual care as needed. The role partners with ACPE Educators and staff chaplains to oversee program design, supervision, and policy development.

The educator will participate in multifaith worship planning, collaborate with hospital teams, and engage in ongoing professional development and ACPE events to advance spiritual care across the organization.

Qualifications

• Graduate Diploma Religious Studies or Master of Divinity preferred
• ACPE Educator certification required
• Experience in hospital spiritual care, preferably in a large teaching hospital

Responsibilities

• Shares in the leadership of the Spiritual Care department and collaborates with other departments.
• Plans and coordinates CPE units and orients new students.
• Supervises in the Clinical Pastoral Education program and updates policies and procedures.
• Provides direct spiritual care to patients, families, and staff of all faith traditions and ages.
• Participates in continuing education and local/national ACPE events.
