Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Transducer Engineer to lead design and development of acoustic transducers used in our products.

You will drive both simulation and test efforts, collaborating with product design, mechanical engineering, audio tuning, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality audio experiences. You will perform linear and nonlinear simulations, optimize designs for performance, size, and cost, and ensure manufacturability with partners worldwide.

Qualifications

• Strong background in acoustic principles, vibration and electromechanical systems.
• Experience with COMSOL for electromagnetic, structural, and acoustics simulations.
• Knowledge of lumped-parameter methods and MATLAB/Simulink tools.
• Experience with 3D solid modeling and meshing tools.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• BS in Mechanical, Audio/Acoustic, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science.

Responsibilities

• Drive all aspects of transducer design and development.
• Support manufacturing partners to scale production and testing.
• Perform linear and nonlinear computer simulations of electromagnetic, acoustics and structural mechanics.
• Optimize design aspects for custom transducers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver audio quality.
