Job summary

Apple in Denver is seeking a transducer engineer to drive all aspects of design and development of speaker components integrated into our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across product design, mechanical engineering, audio tuning, and manufacturing to deliver world-class sound experiences.

The role involves linear and nonlinear simulations of electromagnetic, acoustics, and structural mechanics; optimizing designs for performance, manufacturability, and scale, and

Qualifications

• Strong background in acoustic principles, vibration and electromechanical systems.
• Experience with COMSOL for electromagnetic, structural, and acoustics.
• Knowledge of lumped-parameter methods via MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with 3D solid modeling and meshing tools.
• Cross-functional communicator who can work on fast-paced multiple projects.
• Ability to travel internationally.
• BS in Mechanical, Audio/Acoustic, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Drive all aspects of transducer design and development.
• Help manufacturing partners scale production and testing.
• Perform linear and nonlinear simulations of electromagnetic, acoustics and structural mechanics.
• Collaborate with product design, mechanical engineering, audio tuning and manufacturing teams to deliver great audio.
