Job summary

Duke Health in North Carolina is seeking a part-time DHIP Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) for Access and Patient Experience to provide executive clinical leadership for enterprise access, the ambulatory patient journey, patient experience, and patient-centered culture across Duke Health Integrated Practice.

The role will focus on improving access to care, simplifying entry into the health system, and advancing a coordinated, compassionate, timely, safe, respectful, and easy-to-navigate

Qualifications

• MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active or eligible medical licensure in North Carolina.
• Terminal degree from an accredited nursing or physician assistant school.
• Experience in ambulatory access, patient experience, or health system improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise strategy for patient access and experience.
• Establish access standards and measures.
• Engage clinicians in improvement initiatives.
• Use patient feedback and data to drive improvements.
• Partner across clinical, operational, and support teams.
• Advance digital access, AI, and automation.
• Communicate priorities and outcomes to senior leadership.
