Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Chief Medical Officer for Supply Chain Management. This part-time physician or Advanced Practice Provider role (approximately 50% leadership, about 20 hours per week) will connect clinicians with supply chain, clinical integration, value analysis, quality and finance to drive evidence-based decisions.

The CMO will build trusted relationships with physicians and service lines and lead efforts to align clinical practice with cost and quality goals while supporting adoption

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with physicians and service-line leaders.
• Incorporate physician perspectives into major sourcing, product and technology decisions.

• Facilitate alignment when clinical, operational and financial needs differ.
• Identify opportunities to reduce unwarranted clinical product variation.
• Support physician-led utilization strategies in high-impact clinical categories.
