First PREMIER Bank in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an ACH Processing Associate to ensure accurate and timely handling of ACH transactions and secure file processing. You will support internal teams and customers while maintaining internal procedures and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years in banking operations or regulatory compliance, and basic Microsoft Office skills. This full-time role offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Collects electronic ACH files via SFTP and processes them through the ACH engine for delivery to the ACH operator.
• Assists internal departments or customers with ACH-related inquiries via phone or email.
• Identifies errors or exceptions in ACH files and communicates with management for approval.
• Communicates clearly with clients and team members, verbally and in writing.
• Prioritizes tasks, manages workload, and meets deadlines with initiative.

Monitors file integrity, identifies discrepancies, and supports internal teams and customers by addressing ACH-related inquiries, contributing to the smooth and secure operation of the bank’s payment processing.**Job Duties and Responsibilities****Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.*** Ensures that incoming and outgoing ACH transactions such as direct deposits, bill payments, vendor payments, and government benefits, are processed accurately and on time.* Monitors and validates daily ACH file transmissions by comparing client-submitted transmittal forms against corresponding ACH file balances. Identifies and escalates any discrepancies that may indicate potential fraud or irregular processing activity.* Collects electronic ACH files from customers via secure file transfer protocols (SFTP).
