Job summary

First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard are seeking an accounting professional in Sioux Falls, SD to prepare journal entries, reconcile the general ledger and deposits, and support monthly financial reporting.

The role requires GAAP knowledge, solid Excel skills, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines while handling accounts payable tasks and asset management.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge and understanding.
• Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
• Associate's degree in accounting and/or 3 years' experience in a financial institution environment preferred.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Accounts Payable knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily credit card settlement journal entries, settlement runs, wire transfers and reconciliations.
• Maintain monthly fixed assets (disposals and capitalization).
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages.
• Review and approve expense reports.
• Serve as back up for research and approval of supplier invoices.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of departmental policies, guidelines and protocols.

About the Role

Prepare journal entries related to the company's credit card portfolio by maintaining records as well as reconciling general ledger and deposit accounts, researching questions and interpreting data.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
