Job summary

US Digestive Health in Exton, PA is seeking an experienced Medical Coder to accurately code and enter into the EMR procedures, infusion, pathology, and professional charges for services. This is a full-time position.

The role requires coding certification (preferred), two+ years of physician coding experience, and proficiency with a practice management or EMR system; you will ensure timely charge entry and compliance with billing guidelines.

Qualifications

• Coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience in physician coding.

Responsibilities

• Code and enter charges within 48 hours from date of service.
• Review documentation for physician services.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes from physician documentation.
• Enter charges in the practice management system.
• Research edits/holds on claims due to coding issues.
• Stay current in billing guidelines and AMR requirements.
• Field coding and billing questions from staff and patients.
• Communicate with departments through daily correspondence.
• Support clinical quality measures and documentation standards.
