Job summary

Lamar State College Port Arthur is seeking an Accreditation and Assessment Specialist to support the college’s institutional assessment, accreditation, and improvement activities.

The role involves collecting, organizing, and maintaining assessment documentation; supporting academic and student support units with assessment activities; and preparing information and reports to support institutional effectiveness and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum two years’ experience in higher education, assessment or related area.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination and maintenance of accreditation and assessment documentation.
• Collect, organize, and maintain evidence for accreditation reviews and reports.
• Assist academic and student support departments with assessment information.
• Monitor assessment timelines and follow up on required documentation.
• Compile assessment and student success data for reports and planning.
• Maintain files and databases for accuracy and accessibility.
• Provide training on assessment processes and related software.
• Assist with committees and projects related to assessment and improvement.
• Comply with campus policies and procedures.
• Other related duties as assigned.
