Our Need

We seek a qualified candidate for a part-time Accounts Technician / Advanced Bookkeeper role. The position is remote, supporting the CEO with daily operations and systems management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monthly financial tracking against forecasts
  • Cash management and forecasting
  • Monthly review and maintenance of employee timesheets
  • Review and approval of employee expenses
  • Invoicing clients according to contracted terms
  • Monitoring payments and following up on overdue debts
  • Processing creditor invoices and managing payments
  • Monthly bank account reconciliations
  • Managing payroll and end-of-month payments
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC submissions for VAT, NI, and PAYE
  • Verifying pension scheme payments and compliance
  • Supporting forecasting cycles with leadership
  • Maintaining data consistency across systems
Preferred Candidate Profile
  • Experience in accounting
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Harvest and QuickBooks preferred but not essential
  • Comfortable working with senior teams
  • Analytical skills to identify trends
  • Willingness to grow with the company

Detailed Responsibilities
Financial Tracking

Report variances monthly, analyze actuals from QuickBooks, flag unusual movements.

Cash Management

Monitor cash flow, produce high-level forecasts, alert leadership to constraints.

Timesheets

Review weekly submissions in Harvest, ensure accuracy for invoicing.

Expenses

Review and process expenses in Harvest, coordinate payments.

Invoicing

Generate and distribute invoices via QuickBooks, align with Harvest data.

Payments and Collections

Track overdue payments, chase clients, manage creditor payments.

Bank Reconciliation

Monthly bank account reviews, manage multiple currency accounts.

Payroll & HMRC

Coordinate payroll payments, ensure VAT, NI, PAYE submissions.

Forecasting

Lead quarterly/yearly forecasts, improve models, liaise with leadership.

Data Consistency

Ensure data accuracy across systems, training provided as needed.
