We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst to manage collections
and cash application processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring timely customer
payments, resolving outstanding balances, and accurately applying cash receipts. The ideal
candidate will have experience in AR, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate
across departments to drive cash flow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Collections:
● Manage and track past-due accounts, following up via email and phone to ensure timely payment.
● Maintain and update the aging report, identifying high-risk accounts and escalating when necessary.
● Work closely with customers to resolve disputes and discrepancies, coordinating with Sales, Billing, and Finance teams.
● Negotiate payment plans when applicable and recommend accounts for third-party collections when needed.
● Provide regular updates on collection efforts and cash forecasts to AR leadership.
Cash Application:
● Process and apply incoming payments (ACH, wire, and check) to customer accounts in the ERP system.
● Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and payment discrepancies.
● Work with banks and customers to obtain missing remittance details.
● Reconcile daily cash receipts and ensure proper allocation to open invoices.
● Assist in month-end and quarter-end close activities related to cash application.
Job Requirements:
● 2-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Cash Application.
● Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
● Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze account discrepancies.
● Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle customer interactions professionally.
● Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
● Experience with automation tools for collections or cash application is a plus.
