Job summary

Taylor Rose Recruitment is working with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Chester to recruit an Accounts Senior or Client Manager. The role offers structured progression, a supportive environment, and a strong work-life balance with flexible/remote options.

You will handle SME and OMB portfolios across accounts, tax, and broader advisory services as the role develops, with a generous benefits package and potential part-time arrangements.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified is required.
• MAAT or ACA/ACCA student or equivalent practice experience is essential.
• Experience with FRS102 accounts prep is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of year-end statutory accounts.
• Corporate tax computations.
• Preparation of personal tax returns.
• Management accounts preparation.
• Review of VAT Returns & bookkeeping.
• Training clients on accountancy software.
• Mentoring junior staff.
• Liaising with HMRC.
• Dealing with client queries.

Requirements

• ACA/ ACCA qualified
• MAAT/ ACA or ACCA Student/ PQUK Practice experience is essential
• Accounts prep experience under FRS102
• Good working knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks (ideally)
• Strong communication skills
