Cognizant in Lexington, KY is seeking an Accounts Receivable Support Specialist to reconcile account activity, resolve billing issues, and support Collections and Credit teams. You will work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to ensure accuracy and deliver excellent service.

We offer a hybrid schedule with in-office days Tue–Thu and remote work on Mon and Fri, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and customer communication while supporting continuous process

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of credit and/or collections experience.
• Proven performance in customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Self-starter able to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilités

• Reconcile account status using invoicing and payment activity.
• Reconcile refund status using invoicing, payment, adjustment, and receipt write-off activity.
• Review pending adjustment requests for accuracy and adherence to current policy standards.
• Research and reconcile misapplied payments.
• Respond to invoice and statement requests.
• Perform reconciliations for assigned accounts to maintain accuracy.
• Partner with the Sales, Operations, and Finance departments to resolve billing, collection, and credit issues.
• Communicate with customers via email, letters, and phone regarding account status.
• Assist the Collections floor and Credit department as needed.
• Assist with metric gathering as needed.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned or requested.
