What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Accurately and timely follow up on unpaid and underpaid claims, determining reasons for denials and reprocessing claims for payment
- Identify root causes and denial trends, making recommendations to leadership to prevent future denials
- Perform accurate write-offs of uncollectible accounts in accordance with company policies
- Participate in team meetings to share denial trends and contribute ideas for process improvements
- Meet established productivity and quality metrics for the Accounts Receivable Department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Graduate/GED required; Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree preferred
- 1-3 years minimum work experience in healthcare revenue cycle
- Knowledge of healthcare billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and various insurance claim requirements
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy skills
