Job summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist at State of Indiana is responsible for ensuring financial transactions comply with accounting policies. This role performs reconciliations, researches variances, and prepares entries to support accurate financial reporting for the Hoosier Lottery and state agencies.

You will support retailers and internal customers by resolving AR inquiries, processing adjustments, and maintaining GAAP controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with Great Plains automated accounting system recommended.
• Proven ability to analyze financial data and reconcile accounts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary AR contact and manage inquiries.
• Perform reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare general ledger journal entries and post to the system.
• Monitor receivables, apply credit restrictions, and ensure controls.
• Review and resolve vendor and internal accounting reports for accuracy.
