Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for an onsite contract role in Florham Park, NJ. The position handles invoicing, payments, and related accounting tasks in support of distributors, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing.

The role requires 1-2 years in AR support and an associate degree or equivalent experience, along with strong data entry and Excel skills. Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, onsite work environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in an AR support role.
• Requires an associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Receive checks and other collections regarding invoices for processing.
• Compute, allocate and verify information for shortages or overpayments; correct errors.
• Prepare bank deposits and related transactions.
• Record information into computer systems for money received and cash applications.
• Assist in evaluating delinquent accounts and contact customers for payment arrangements.
• Assist in verifying credit for promotional functions and record pertinent information.
