Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to perform accounts receivable and clerical duties for the Corporate Finance group. The position is hybrid with in-office presence required during the first year to train and collaborate.

Responsibilities include invoicing, collections calls, cash postings and account reconciliations, plus month-end close support. Strong accounting education and MS Office and ERP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting or business is required.
• Intermediate interpersonal, communication and writing skills are required.
• Intermediate analytical, problem solving and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain customer files and folders.
• Prepare accounts receivable invoices.
• Perform on-line invoicing and credit card processing.
• Perform collection calls on past due accounts and send out customer statements.
• Research and resolve customer account disputes and billing discrepancies.
• Respond to external and internal inquiries in a timely manner.
• Process and apply company cash receipts in a timely manner.
• Perform account reconciliations and prepare audit work papers.
• Assist with the month-end close process including general ledger journal entries.
• Prepare, update and distribute reports.
• Perform routine clerical duties including preparing reports, filing, typing, copying, faxing and assisting with special projects.
• Contribute to a professional image of Accounting Department in interactions with auditors and other departments.
