Job summary

Talentify is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk in Katy, TX to manage a high-volume customer account portfolio, process payments, and resolve discrepancies. The role requires strong data entry, organization, and communication skills for approximately 1,000 accounts.

You'll enter payments in Sapphire, research discrepancies, produce statements, and collaborate with sales and other departments to keep records accurate and up-to-date. Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM CST.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, collections, cash application or related accounting fields.
• Experience posting and applying customer payments.
• Ability to research and reconcile account discrepancies and credits.
• Strong data-entry skills with high accuracy.
• Experience managing a high-volume portfolio of customer accounts.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication skills.
• Ability to maintain detailed account notes and payment-status information.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Enter and apply customer payments in Sapphire (checks, cash, EFT, online bill pay, driver payments, etc.).
• Research and reconcile payment discrepancies and credits.
• Maintain portfolio of ~1,000 customer accounts with accurate notes and statuses.
• Perform collection procedures per SOPs and escalate when needed.
• Make courtesy and collection-related calls and follow up on issues.
• Process NSF activity and communicate payment-term changes to customers and sales.
• Distribute monthly customer statements.
• Collaborate with sales and internal teams to resolve disputes.
• Keep delivery and payment status information accurate and up-to-date.
• Respond to customer questions promptly and professionally.
