Job summary

Tanner LLP in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to handle client payments, postings, and invoicing while maintaining customer records in Certinia ERP. You will ensure accurate data and timely cash flow, delivering high-quality service to clients.

The role requires solid bookkeeping/accounting education and MS Office proficiency, with experience in ERP systems. You will collaborate with Managers and Partners to resolve delinquent accounts and support month-end close.

Qualifications

• Solid bookkeeping/accounting education or equivalent work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred; experience with large ERP platforms (Certinia, Salesforce) desired.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with clients and deliver high quality customer service.
• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable; generate late fees and process write-offs as approved.
• Create invoices according to Firm practices; submit invoices to customers.
• Maintain and update customer files in Certinia; adjust employee timecards and project data as needed.
• Handle incoming emails in a shared billing inbox.
• Conduct collections for accounts over 30 days past due; coordinate with Managers and Partners on delinquent accounts.
• Generate monthly billing statements for customer accounts.
• Monitor ERP dashboards to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Assist leadership in reconciling revenue, accounts receivable, and bank accounts; support month-end close.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
