Job summary

South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the Controller and CFO with accurate receivables, compliance, and reporting. The role requires strong Excel skills and knowledge of SCEIS accounting modules.

Responsibilities include processing payments, coordinating with the State Treasurer’s Office, generating aging reports, and assisting with ad hoc financial duties. A background in accounting or related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma with related accounting/finance experience or a bachelor’s degree with accounting coursework.
• Bachelor’s degree with accounting coursework may substitute for work experience.
• Knowledge of SCEIS accounting module and general accounting principles.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data and reports.
• Strong experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; data presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable functions including checks, ACH/Wires, interdepartmental transfers and refunds.
• Coordinate with SC State Treasurer’s Office for postings to bank accounts as needed.
• Generate reports analyzing receipts and aging of receivables; contact customers to resolve issues.
• Process employee travel requests and expenses in SCEIS Central; handle related inquiries.
• Update agency regulations and policies to ensure compliance; communicate internal controls.
• Complete ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned by Controller or CFO.
