Job summary

Nelson-Jameson, Inc. is seeking a dependable Accounts Receivable Generalist in Marshfield, WI to own a designated customer portfolio and support cash flow. You’ll be the primary contact for billing inquiries, ensure timely collections, and perform ledger reconciliations with cross-team collaboration.

The role requires detail orientation, experience in AR/collections, and proficiency in Excel/Sheets, with opportunities to grow in a family-owned environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or general accounting.
• Proven background in credit, collections, and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and pursue past-due balances.
• Process and apply customer remittances accurately in the ERP.
• Assess creditworthiness and adjust payment terms to mitigate risk.
• Review and clear credit holds to balance risk and service.
• Respond to billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain customer records in the ERP and related systems.
